How does an RFID system work?

RFID system in the specific application process, according to the application of different purposes and application environment, RFID system will be different, but the working principle of the RFID system, the system generally by the signal transmitter, signal receiver, Receive antenna several parts.

1), signal transmitter In the RFID system, the signal transmitter for different application purposes, will exist in different forms, the typical form is the label (TAG). The tag is equivalent to the bar code symbol in barcode technology, which is used to store the information that needs to be identified. In addition, unlike the bar code, the tag must be able to take the stored information automatically or automatically by external force. The tag is typically a low-cost integrated circuit with coils, antennas, memory and control systems.

2) signal receiver In the RFID system, the signal receiver is generally called the reader. The complexity of the reader is significantly different depending on the type of tag that is supported and the function that is done. The basic function of the reader is to provide a means of data transmission with the label. In addition, the reader also provides a fairly complex signal state control, parity error correction and correction functions. In addition to storing the need to transmit the label information, but also must contain some additional information, such as error checking information. The identification data information and the additional information are compiled together according to a certain structure and are sent out in a specific order. The reader controls the transmission of the data stream by receiving the additional information. Once the information arrives at the reader is correctly received and decrypted, the reader determines whether the transmitter needs to be retransmitted to the transmitted signal by a specific algorithm or knows that the transmitter stops signaling, which is the "command response protocol". Using this protocol, even in a very short time, very small space to read multiple tags, can also effectively prevent the "spoofing problem" generation.

3) Antenna is the transmission and reception of data between tags and readers. In practical applications, in addition to the system power, the antenna shape and relative position will also affect the data transmission and reception, the need for professionals on the system antenna design and installation.
